Just one year ago on April 1, 2017, I made a walk from Beklemeto to Dobrila hut (18km) along with a friend of mine.
I chose this route to familiarize myself with one of the stages of Kom-Emine trail, which I planned to go through during the summer. This stage of Kom-Emine is most often from Eho hut to Dobrila hut - 33 km. And since I was walking from Eho hut to Beklemeto I decided to do the other part of this stage.
So, on April 1st, we drove by car from Veliko Tarnovo and at 10:00 we left the car at Troyan-Karnare Pass (Beklemeto) and walked on foot. At the Dermenka hut, walking was a fairytale, there was no snow on the path and it took only 3 hours of walking. At Dermenka, the meadows were full of blue crocuses, just like a carpet.
Ever since the Beklemeto, two dogs joined us, which made us company all the way to Dobrila. Apparently, they lived in the mountains. I had a very nice impression on how they touched each other, there was a great love between them. Still, they were male and female.
At Dermenka we ate a soup and headed for Dobrila, hoping to arrive in three hours. There, in the woods, the snow had not completely melted, and it was necessary to climb over 1.5 to 2 meters of water.
As we reached the foot of Gerdektepe peak, I saw that there was a crossing path from the south and we walked along it. There was no snow anymore, and it was going well. We walked past Gerdektepe as I climbed to the shelter just 50 meters from the path. Next to it there is a fountain.
Then we went out to a meadow where the two paths were joined with the one through the top. There is also the monument of the dead tourist Boryana.
From there it began walking through a coniferous forest with very soft snow, and this slowed us down considerably.
Finally at 18:45 we arrived at Dobrila hut.
The next day walking was much easier because it was mostly in sloping downhill.
